Dr Amjid Muhammad

Owner and Principal Dentist

Dr Amjid Muhammad is the owner and principal dentist at Hume Dental Group. A proud former student of Essendon East Keilor High School, Dr Amjid received the Premier’s Award for Health and Human Development before pursuing dentistry at the University of Melbourne. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Science, graduating with Honours in 2000. During his studies, he was inducted into the Dean’s Honours List and also received a special award in Periodontics.

With 25 years of experience in private practice, Dr Amjid established Hume Dental Group in 2007 with a vision to create a modern, patient-centred dental clinic committed to high-quality care. His clinical interests include Orthodontics, Implant Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry, and he has completed extensive additional training in each of these fields. He is also a Platinum Invisalign Provider and one of the highest-tier Spark Clear Aligner providers, reflecting his expertise in aligner-based orthodontics.

Dr Amjid is dedicated to delivering dentistry with integrity, precision and a gentle approach. He is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised treatment and evidence-based care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Amjid is married and a proud father of three. He enjoys all things sport—especially cricket and soccer—and is a lifelong, passionate Liverpool FC supporter. He also loves travelling and exploring new cultures with his family.  Dr Amjid speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.

 

Dr Rosa Lee

Dentist

Dr. Rosa Lee studied dentistry at The University of Melbourne, graduating with Honours in 2008. She joined Hume Dental Group 17 years ago, proudly serving the local community with  high-quality, compassionate dental care.

Dr. Rosa is passionate about furthering her knowledge and skills through continuing education. With a keen eye for detail, her areas of interest are cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry and orthodontics. She is fluent in Korean.

Dr. Rosa prides herself on being a gentle and caring dentist for the whole family. She understands how vulnerable it can feel to be in the dental chair and strives to make every visit as comfortable as possible.

In her free time, Rosa loves to spend time with her two children and her husband.

 

Dr Enas Sammak

Dentist

 Dr Enas Sammak completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine with a major in Genetics before graduating with Honours from the University of Melbourne’s Doctor of Dental Science in 2017. She has worked in both public and private practice, gaining broad experience in all areas of general dentistry.

Enas is known for her honest and thorough approach and her ability to communicate clearly with patients. She has a particular interest in caring for anxious patients and in paediatric dentistry, with a focus on prevention and early intervention.

Outside dentistry, Enas is a mum of three who enjoys cooking and being part of a connected community.

Enas is fluent in English and Arabic.

 

Dr Mandy Bhatti

Dentist

Dr Mandy Bhatti completed her masters in dentistry at La Trobe University in 2014 and has since worked in both public and private clinics across Melbourne. She provides gentle, family-focused dental care and is known for her warm, calming approach.

Mandy takes the time to listen and tailors every treatment plan to each patient’s needs. She offers a full range of services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, and extractions, with a strong emphasis on comfort and prevention. She especially enjoys supporting anxious patients and helping children feel relaxed and confident in the dental chair.

Mandy also supervises final-year dental students and loves giving back to the profession. Fluent in Punjabi, she enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside the clinic, Mandy loves pilates, dancing, and spending time with her husband and two kids.

Dr  Akib Mian

Dentist

 Dr. Akib brings over 10 years of experience to the team at Hume Dental Group, having worked in both public and private sectors across Tasmania, Queensland and Victoria. Fuelled by a commitment to deliver exceptional patient care, Akib strives towards continual professional development. Since obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in 2014. Akib has completed a comprehensive orthodontics course, and is an accredited Spark™ Clear Aligner provider.

Dr. Akib’s cool, calm and collected approach is a welcome sight for patients who might be feeling afraid and anxious of visiting the dentist. When not working, Dr. Akib enjoys watching football and cricket and spending quality time with his wife and son. Akib is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

 

Laura 

Practice Manager

Laura has been a valued part of Hume Dental Group for over 18 years and is truly the face of the clinic and the backbone of the practice. Her warmth, dedication, and experience make her a familiar and reassuring presence for both patients and staff.

As a qualified Dental Nurse, Laura brings a strong clinical background and a genuine understanding of patient care, infection control, and daily clinical operations. This hands-on experience allows her to seamlessly support both the clinical and administrative sides of the practice, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

As Practice Manager, Laura coordinates the team, oversees day-to-day operations, and ensures every patient’s experience is a positive one. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, friendly environment while maintaining the high professional standards Hume Dental Group is known for.

Laura’s long-standing commitment to the practice reflects her love for dentistry and her people-first approach, making her an essential part of the Hume Dental Group family.
